Citizen Discounts
All prescriptions for Senior Citizens receive a 10% discount.
Rentals, Wheelchairs, etc.
Messenger Valley Pharmacy rents nebulizers, crutches, walkers,
wheelchairs, over-the-bed tray tables, and more.
Medicare and private insurance billing.
Custom Compounding
Your physician or veterinarian may order a prescription for
you or your pet that is not available commercially and needs
to be tailored to your specific needs.
Sometimes, you or your family pet may not be able to tolerate
a medication that is taken by mouth. We may be able to prepare
this product into a topical preparation that is rubbed into
the skin, or a suppository that is inserted rectally.
Your physician may want to combine two or more active drugs
into one preparation to make the therapy more efficient or easier
to follow. Or you may be allergic to a preservative or dye in
a manufactured product that a pharmacist can custom compound
in a preservative-free or dye-free form.
Compounding allows the physician to do many things for the patient
that are not possible with the limitation of only using commercially
available products. The pharmacists at Messenger Valley Pharmacy
would like to work with you and your physician (or your pet's
veterinarian) to provide a prescription tailored to your needs.

- Medicare claims are processed free of charge.

Diabetes supplies & training
Messenger Valley Pharmacy has a comprehensive stock of diabetes
supplies and training in their use. We provide assistance for
both Type 1 (insulin dependent) and Type 2 (non-insulin dependent)
diabetics. Training is available with an appointment for individuals,
family members and caregivers.

Ostomy Supplies
All the products you need to safely care for your ostomy needs are
available at Messenger Valley Pharmacy. Talk with the staff about:

Therapeutic Shoes
Shoes, work boots and running shoes in all sizes and widths are available
in a variety of styles and colors. Trained staff, working closely
with Grace Cottage Podiatry, can fit shoes and make individualized
heat-moulded inserts. Therapeutic shoes are covered by some insurance
plans with a certificate of medical necessity and a prescription from
your primary care provider. If you have diabetes, Medicare will pay
80% of the cost.
Sports Medicine and Supplies
The staff at Messenger Valley Pharmacy can discuss your needs with
you and help identify the best means to get you back to your active
self. Supplies include:

Pet Prescriptions filled
Messenger Valley Pharmacy fills prescriptions for pets as well as
people. Your pet's veterinarian can call in a prescription to (802)
