Townshend
is a charming, close-knit rural community located 20 miles north of
Brattleboro
in the heart of the Green Mountains. Townshend and surrounding towns

Chief Operations Officer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the direction of proactive
compliance, quality improvement, risk management, patient safety, and
medical staff credentialing programs.
This includes: policy development and revision; teaching/communicating
to administration, the board of trustees, medical staff and employees;
monitoring/auditing for compliance; leading the Quality Improvement
program; loss control/loss prevention; oversight of occurrence reporting;
analysis of trends; active involvement in handling claims and lawsuits;
credentialing the medical staff and insurance enrollments; overall management
of the environmental safety program.
Position may also have overall responsibility for one or more departments.
Must have extensive knowledge and experience of health care laws, regulations
and standards including Critical Access and Rural Healthcare regulations,
HIPAA privacy and security regulations. Advanced communication skills
with the capability for clear and concise oral and written expression.
A high level of integrity and trust is necessary. Strong investigational
and critical thinking skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Director of Information Services/Security Officer
The successful candidate will ensure the streamlined operation of the
Information Services Department in alignment with the business objectives
of the corporation. The IS Director will coordinate, direct, and design
IT-related activities for the organization; provide direction and support
for the daily operational activities of the IS Department; work closely
with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop,
implement and support cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the
organization; define and implement IT policies, procedures and best
practices in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
The Security Officer is responsible for all activities related to the
development, implementation, maintenance of and adherence to policies
and regulations relating to the privacy of and access to electronic
patient health information.
This position requires a thorough knowledge of all aspects of computer
systems, operations, programming languages, system analysis, design
and equipment. Demonstrated analytical, evaluative and problem solving
abilities. Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure planning and
development. Bachelor degree required with a preference for computer
sciences or business administration.
Family Physician
Grace Cottage Hospital is currently seeking a family physician to join
a well-established practice. The opportunity provides both inpatient
and outpatient responsibilities (no OB). Make your best ever career

Registered Nurse
Grace Cottage Hospital currently has openings for full-time and part-time
RNs to work evening and night shifts.
Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant
Grace Cottage Hospital currently as an opening in the Rehabilitation
Department for a full-time or part-time physical therapist or physical
therapy assistant. The population served includes a diverse caseload
of acute and skilled hospital in-patients and outpatients.
Occupational Therapist
Full-time position available at Grace Cottage Hospital to treat a diverse
caseload, primarily consisting of acute and skilled hospital inpatients.
CT SCAN / Radiologic Technologist
Full-time position available at Grace Cottage Hospital to operate the
CT scanner and provide diagnostic imaging coverage. Qualified applicants
must have a wide range of experience and competency, be self-directed
and able to work independently, greet patients, review physician orders,
and enter necessary data into computer. The successful candidate must
maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict policies and procedures
while treating patients with care.
AART and Vermont State License required.
