Woods Tea Co. Concert

The 8th Annual Woods Tea Company Concert in celebration of Grace Cottage Hospital will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2008, on the Townshend Common. Free and open to all, this annual concert is sponsored by Shirley Benson in memory of her husband, Jack.

Howard Wooden and Michael Lussen had to make a decision after the unexpected deaths of fellow band members Chip Chase in 2006 and band founder Rusty Jacobs in August 2007, just a few days after the band’s concert in Townshend. They decided to continue on, in memory of Rusty and Chip. In 2007, Tom MacKenzie joined the band full-time, and this spring, Patti Casey joined the group.
