FIRST ANNUAL
TOUR DE
GRACE
Grace Cottage Hospital’s First Annual
“Tour De Grace” bicycle rally will be
held on Saturday, September 17, so mark
your calendar and come ride, watch, or
volunteer!
Bicyclists will begin the ride at Stratton
Mountain anytime between 8-9:30 a.m.
and end at Grace Cottage Hospital
in Townshend. The 19-mile route
is spectacular, including the best that
Vermont has to offer, as riders meander
on dirt and paved roads along rivers,
beside a lake, on top of a dam, through
a covered bridge, and around a village
green. The entire route is mostly downhill,
with a 1500’ vertical drop in gradual
increments over the 19 miles, so it is the
perfect ride for the easily challenged as
well as the enthusiast. Detailed maps
will be provided, and the route will be
well marked. Volunteers will be stationed
along the route to provide water and
energy snacks. The Grace Cottage bus
will be available to transport riders and
their bikes back to Stratton, for those who
prefer not to ride back.
The entry fee is $25 and anyone over the
age of 12 is invited to participate; helmets
are required. For more information or to
register for the rally, call (802) 365-9109 or
register on-line at www.gracecottage.org.
