Linus Blankets Provide Comfort

Jacques Fortier, of Southbury, CT,
hugs a Project Linus quilt given to
him during a visit to the ER.
"If people could see the looks on kids’ faces when we give them one of these handmade quilts and tell them that it’s theirs to keep, they’d know that Project Linus is a blessing," said Mike Ingersoll, Grace Cottage Emergency Department nurse. The local chapter of Project Linus has been providing Grace Cottage with a steady supply of these beautiful quilts as gifts for any child in the ER or doctors’ offices who needs comforting. Christine Cathcart, of Townshend, heads the local chapter, which has presented over 1,000 quilts in the past four years to young patients in southeastern Vermont. Thank you, Project Linus volunteers!
