A MESSAGE FROM DR. BACKUS

“The addition of Alexandra Barstow, M.D. to the Grace Cottage Family Health medical staff increases the depth and breadth of our medical community.

Her timely presence serves as a reminder to my patients, especially to those under 60, that they should now begin to schedule their exams with one of the other doctors or nurse practitioners here. With these individuals (most of them considerably younger than I!), they can enjoy a long and wonderful relationship, such as the one I have been privileged to have had with them.

By April 1st of 2007, I shall go from full-time medical practice to half-time, concentrating my care with those age 60 and older who wish to put up with a “half-time” M.D. (many of you might say that’s what you’ve had from me all along!)”
