HOME IN TOWNSHEND DONATED TO GRACE COTTAGE
Townshend resident Warren
Kronemeyer has donated his
home and 9.85 acres to Grace
Cottage Hospital, in exchange for
lifetime care.
“This was the right thing to do at
the right time,” said Warren. “I’ve
always loved Grace Cottage Hospital—
it’s where both of my parents
and my friend, Leon Ingall,
chose to die. Dr. Backus has been
my doctor for many years, and
Elaine Scott and the Valley Health
homemakers have been a great
help.
Within the next few weeks, Warren
will be moving into a room at
Heins Home, where employees
and residents are eagerly awaiting
his arrival.
Grace Cottage has not yet finalized
plans for the beautiful circa
1810 Federal-style red brick home
and adjacent building, which once
housed Warle Antiques. Located
just 1,500 feet from Grace Cottage
on Route 35, the Kronemeyer
land is contiguous to hospital
property behind the three private
homes in between.
